#### \[In-person Event\]

## Hands-On Kargo Workshop, Salt Lake City

Monday, November 9, 2026
8:30 AM–12:00 PM or 1:30 PM–5:00 PM
at Le Merien Salt Lake City Downtown

Modern application delivery expands across Kubernetes, Terraform, VMs, and cloud services, but managing promotions across these environments often leads to disconnected workflows, operational complexity, and limited visibility.

[Kargo](https://akuity.io/what-is-kargo) on the Akuity Platform runs continuous promotion across environments, gated by the checks you define, with one view of what's shipped and what's still in flight.

💻 In this workshop, you'll learn how to:

- Simplify operational oversight with a single, unified Kargo + Argo CD interface that reduces tool sprawl and context-switching
- Standardize promotions across your entire stack, including Kubernetes, Terraform, VMs, and cloud services, from one centralized platform
- Reduce promotion complexity by eliminating the custom scripts and bespoke tooling that create hidden maintenance burdens

Gain clear, end-to-end visibility and control over every stage of your promotion pipeline, from initial commit to production

Pre-requisites
Please make sure you have the following ready before the workshop:

- A local Kubernetes cluster running (k3s, k3d, kind, Orbstack, Docker for Desktop, etc.) with kubectl installed
- [Docker](https://www.docker.com/get-started/) installed and running
- A GitHub account (or another Git forge — examples during the workshop will use GitHub)
- [Kargo CLI v1.12](https://docs.kargo.io/user-guide/cli/installation) installed
- An Akuity account signed in (We’ll send access to the Akuity demo environment and sign-in URL 2 days before the event.)
- *Optional\** An email account you can use a token for SMTP sending

This is an in-person workshop where you will need to bring your computer. Space is limited. We'll follow up by email to confirm your spot.

🍹 Community Happy Hour

Stick around after the workshop for our Akuity Happy Hour from 5:00–7:00 PM at Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown (131 S 300 W). It will be a casual evening of networking, drinks, and bites to unwind from the day. Free to attend.
